Our History
Inman Maritime Corporation was founded in 2023 when a group of logistics professionals identified a critical gap in cargo protection. After years in freight forwarding and supply chain management, they witnessed countless businesses suffer devastating losses due to inadequate carrier liability coverage. Traditional cargo insurance was either inaccessible due to high minimums and complex processes, or plagued by opaque pricing and slow service. Comprehensive protection against physical loss or damage from any external cause during transit. Covers theft, accidents, weather damage, mishandling, and all perils except those specifically excluded. This is our most popular coverage option, providing the broadest protection for your cargo from warehouse to final destination.
Coverage for specific listed risks including fire, explosion, collision, overturning, derailment, theft of entire shipment, and non-delivery. This option provides essential protection at a lower premium, ideal for lower-risk commodities or budget-conscious shippers. While more limited than All Risk coverage, Named Perils protects against the most common causes of cargo loss.
Specialized coverage designed specifically for antiques, artwork, and collectibles. In addition to All Risk protection, this coverage addresses depreciation in value following partial damage. If your insured item is damaged and repaired, we cover both the repair costs and any resulting loss in market value as determined by independent appraisal. Essential protection for irreplaceable or high-value collector items where condition directly impacts worth.
