How we operate

Operating responsibly across every part of our business.

Container lifecycle.

We actively source and supply cargo-worthy used containers, extending the operational life of units that would otherwise be retired. Every container we sell or lease is ISO certified and inspected, maximizing use, minimizing waste.

Rail over road.

Our intermodal rail operations move freight via CN and CP Rail corridors rather than long-haul trucking wherever possible. Rail freight produces significantly lower emissions per tonne-kilometre than road transport. 

Digital operations.

Our container buyers portal and cargo insurance portals are fully digital, reducing paper, eliminating unnecessary travel, and giving clients real-time access to their inventory, policies, and certificates from anywhere in the world.

Long-term thinking.

Sustainability, for us, is less about a single initiative and more about how we build. We’re not optimizing for a quarter. We’re building infrastructure meant to last, and infrastructure that lasts is infrastructure that doesn’t need to be replaced.
