Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms“) govern your access to and use of the website located at inmanmaritime.com (the “Site“) and the services made available through it, operated by Inman Maritime Corporation (“Inman Maritime“, “we“, “us“, or “our“). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site immediately.

1. About Inman Maritime Corporation

Inman Maritime Corporation is a logistics company providing container supply, global cargo insurance, and intermodal rail solutions. We operate from two offices:

2. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, our servers, or any connected systems
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone’s use or enjoyment of the Site
• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any part of the Site without express written permission

3. Services Overview

The Site provides information about and access to the following services offered by Inman Maritime:

3.1 Container Supply

Inman Maritime offers the purchase and lease of ISO certified shipping containers, including 20ft and 40ft dry, high cube, refrigerated (reefer), and specialty configurations. Container transactions are subject to separate purchase agreements and the terms and conditions of the Container Reserve portal. All sales are final upon confirmed purchase and issuance of a Gate Release document. Inman Maritime makes no warranty regarding container availability at any specific depot location beyond what is confirmed at the time of purchase.

3.2 Global Cargo Insurance

Inman Maritime facilitates access to cargo insurance products underwritten by Lloyd’s of London and administered in partnership with Marsh Canada. Insurance products available through the Site or our cargo insurance portal are subject to the specific policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and endorsements set out in each individual policy document issued to the insured. Nothing on this Site constitutes an offer of insurance coverage, and no coverage is in force until a policy has been formally issued and confirmed in writing. Inman Maritime acts as a facilitator and is not itself an insurer. All claims, coverage disputes, and policy matters are governed by the applicable policy documentation and the underwriting partners’ terms.

3.3 Intermodal Rail Solutions

Inman Maritime provides rail-to-vessel logistics coordination services connecting inland producers to the Port of Vancouver via CN Rail, CP Rail, and Regal Terminals. The provision of intermodal rail services is subject to the operational terms of our rail and terminal partners, and Inman Maritime accepts no liability for delays, disruptions, or losses arising from the operations of third-party rail carriers or terminal operators.

4. Portals and Online Accounts

Access to certain services, including the Container Reserve purchasing portal and the cargo insurance portal, requires registration for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at webmaster@inmanmaritime.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

5. Payments and Transactions

Payments processed through our portals may be made by credit card, bank transfer, or e-transfer (Canadian customers). All transactions are processed in accordance with the terms presented at the time of purchase. Prices are subject to change without notice. Inman Maritime uses third-party payment processors and does not store full payment card details on its own systems. All sales of containers are final upon payment confirmation and issuance of a Gate Release document.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, is the property of Inman Maritime Corporation or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our express written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or insurance advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Inman Maritime Corporation, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or our services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of cargo, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Inman Maritime in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or CAD $500, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, portals, or services. These links are provided for your convenience only. Inman Maritime has no control over the content or practices of third-party sites and accepts no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Inman Maritime.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review those documents carefully.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada, except where mandatory local laws require otherwise. Users accessing the Site from the United Kingdom or European Economic Area acknowledge that Inman Maritime’s London office operates in compliance with applicable UK and EU regulations, and that certain rights and protections may apply to them under local law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.
